Service plans bring peace of mind
A new car is a major investment, so it makes sense to ensure that it remains in tip-top condition with regular servicing by experts trained to the exacting standards of excellence for which Mercedes-Benz is famous.

That process is made easy by Zung Fu, which offers various packages that ensure regular maintenance is both easy and cost effective. Recently, Zung Fu announced an upgrade of its service packages, the Prestige Maintenance Plan and Comprehensive Maintenance Plan, service packages that are tailored to the needs of customers.

Mercedes-Benz owners will shortly be able to browse though new brochures that give full details of the packages. In broad terms, customers can choose to have a package for a long period of time covering all eventualities, or opt for a less all-embracing package that is also a good-value way to ensure all essential services are covered.

Repair costs built in
The plans are essentially similar to insurance policies - they give total peace of mind to owners, who know that repair costs are built into the fee. All spare parts we use come directly from Mercedes-Benz in Germany and all mechanics are highly trained professionals who are constantly updated on the latest technological developments of Mercedes-Benz. In order to preserve the outstanding quality of the vehicle's performance, only top grade full-synthetic lubrication oil is used in service centres.

Customers opt for various plans that include the Prestige Maintenance Plan, which takes the vehicle up to the three-year mark, or the Comprehensive Maintenance Plan which covers the vehicle up until it is two years old. Below is a breakdown of the schemes.

The Prestige Maintenance Plan
This is the most comprehensive service, giving the optimum level of performance and protection. As a member of the Prestige Maintenance Plan, owners enjoy the highest level of maintenance and repair services at Zung Fu service centres. All regular maintenance and repairs (practically all wear and tear items are included) are included for 2-1/2 years right after six months (covering the period from seven months to three years), or up to a total mileage of 60,000 kilometres from the date of first registration, whichever comes first.

At the same time, the scheme allows for the valuable two-year factory warranty, along with a full warranty provided by Zung Fu for the third year after the date of first registration.

The Comprehensive Maintenance Plan
This is also designed to ensure the optimum level of performance and protection for Mercedes-Benz vehicles, providing the fullest most comprehensive and professional maintenance service.

Participants in the plan can enjoy the highest level of maintenance and repair services at any Zung Fu service centre. All regular maintenance and repairs are included between the seventh and 24th month of ownership, or up to a total mileage of 40,000 kilometres from the date of first registration, whichever comes first.

This plan covers general maintenance and repair services, including component overhaul. It offers total peace of mind: owners do not have to worry about unbudgeted maintenance and repair costs within the contract period. For example, under this plan, there is no need to pay for changing lubrication oil or light bulbs; even wear and tear items such as brake pads, brake discs, air and fuel filters are covered.

When these plans run their course, owners can opt for the Annual Maintenance Plan or Selective Maintenance Plan, details of which can be found in new Zung Fu brochures designed to be browsed through at your leisure. Zung Fu would introduce these two plans in the later stages.

As always with Zung Fu and Mercedes-Benz, the customer is king, and the choices are meant to be tailored to individual needs. In this case, the choice will depend on the amount of times the car is likely to be used - and the level of cover that the owner wants to choose.
