There is an artful separation for a particularly harmonious interior: the centre console stretches distinctively between the two front seats as well as the single rear seats, and the dashboard fits perfectly into the scene thank to its metal-plated surfaces.

Four wood grains are available for the fine wood finishes and five elegant colour combinations are provided for the soft leather upholstery. Perfect in every detail, the premium materials and trim are finished to the highest standards.

The V12 models can be recognised by their fine roof liner in Alcantara® and V12 emblems in the interior.

The optional ambient lighting emphasises the interior design with the three colour schemes "solar" (amber-coloured) "neutral" (white) and "polar" (ice-blue), ensuring pleasant light conditions for night driving (standard equipment for CL 600 and CL 65 AMG).

A narrow band of light fed by LEDs extends along the wood trim strips of the doors and instrument panel. The ambient lighting creates a distinctive atmosphere on board and makes the interior seem more spacious and comfortable. The ambient lighting can be left on while driving – it will not hamper the driver's vision.

Using the COMAND multimedia system, you can set the brightness of the ambient lighting to five different levels to suit your personal preference. You will even be welcomed by the ambient lighting: when you open the doors, the light band lights up to the brightest level; after the doors are closed it is then dimmed to your selected setting.
